Crewed Yacht Charters offering custom tailored itineraries and sumptuous menus.     Ursa Major  was  launched and outfitted  in 1972 at the Malahide shipyards in Dublin, Ireland on a rock solid wooden hull built in Norway.   With her classic Old World charm, solid North Sea Construction and warm European ambiance she is the perfect "little ship" for charter cruising and epitomizes the True Trawler Yacht as described by Bob Lane in Passagemaker Magazine (February 2002 and April 2002).  She is widely written about in her activities in chartering in Alaska summers (see above).  

The Crew of the Ursa Major is pleasant, experienced, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable to assure our guests of an interesting, memorable and safe cruise.  Captain Josh Haury, with his many years of nautical experience, interest in wildlife, fishing, photography, and wealth of nautical and wilderness adventure stories  will assure Ursa Major's guest a safe and interesting time.    Capt Josh Haury  will guide  you on your wonderful journeys from the decks of the Ursa Major.    The Ursa Major's classic accommodations and fine cuisine make her a wonderful platform to experience nature while still having your creatures comforts around you.  NO MEGAYACHT snobbery here ... just a classic and comfortable private cruising with personalized attention offering you a platform to take adventure paddles in smaller steps than available with other Baja outfitters.   All the while your family and friends can accompany you and relax in the warmth of their private yacht.     You will be happy and well fed aboard the finest classic trawler cruising in Baja this winter.

Ursa Major is available for up to eight guests and also in tandem with other vessels for larger groups.   We can support up to a maximum of twelve with some accommodation in berthing for the more rugged guests.
